PRETTY IN PINK: VALENTINE’S DAY HAZELNUT-CHOCOLATEY BITES WITH ROSE PETALS

How to treat yourself? These beauties are super delicious and you need to make them for Valentine’s Day. Just because I love you, I’m sharing the recipe with you. They are sweet, full of nutrient-dense ingredients and delicious. They make the perfect guilt-free treat for you and your loved ones. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

TOPPINGS: Dry edible rose petals.

DIRECTION:

Place the hazelnuts, cinnamon, cardamon and sea salt into a food processor and pulse until fully crushed before forming into a butter texture. Add the dates, apricots, coconut oil, hazelnut butter, vanilla extract and cacao powder and pulse until you get a sticky mixture. Take a tablespoon of the mixture, roll into small balls and cover with rose petals. Place the ready balls into the freezer for about 30 minutes for a firm texture. Remove and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

NOTE: Makes about 20 bites depending on the size. To have a more chocolaty flavor, you can simply add an extra teaspoon cacao powder to the recipe.
